𝗙𝗲𝗯. 𝟮𝟴 – 🥁 Classic Jazz & Friends • Live at Smalls 🎷

After 10 months away from the stage, Francesco Tortora (Cesco Drums) makes his celebrated return to Smalls.

Founder of the Basic Jazz Trio, created at Smalls in 2023, Tortora built that project around the reinterpretation of Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, and Kenny Garrett — contemporary jazz rooted in creativity and improvisation. His return brings that same spirit back to the room.

For this special night, Tortora is joined by saxophonist Pana Topoonyanont, leader of his own quartet and a strong voice in Bangkok’s modern jazz scene. A post-bop and hard bop specialist, Pana studied jazz performance under Antonio Hart at Queens College’s Aaron Copland School of Music and continues to shape his sound between tradition and forward movement.
