PARAMES

Smalls welcomes a new project led by guitarist Parames Pipattanasuporn, joined by Ham Tanid on guitar and Yim Thanida on flute. While this trio appears here for the first time in this format, the players come from overlapping circles in Bangkok’s contemporary jazz and experimental scene, with shared roots in the Rangsit Conservatory of Music and a history of working across small-group and improvisation-based projects.

Parames is known at Smalls through the Unnamed Trio and other collaboration-driven sets, while Ham Tanid brings experience from projects like H1F4 and his own cross-genre solo work. Yim Thanida’s background spans both modern and traditional performance, adding a different voice to the group. Together, the trio focuses on original compositions and open improvisation, with a format that moves away from a traditional rhythm section and into a more textural, interactive setting shaped in real time.

🎸 Parames Pipattanasuporn – Guitar
Parames Pipattanasuporn is a Bangkok-based guitarist, arranger, and composer, and a First Class Honours graduate of the Conservatory of Music at Rangsit University. He has appeared regularly at Smalls as part of the Unnamed Trio, performing original material and improvisation-driven sets in an intimate small-group format.

His work moves between structured composition and open interaction, with a focus on collaboration and real-time development of musical ideas. He is active across a range of projects in Bangkok’s jazz scene, often bringing different groups of musicians together.

🎸 Ham Tanid – Guitar
Ham Tanid is a Thai guitarist, composer, and experimental artist working across jazz, electronics, and improvisation. A member of the band H1F4, he has received international recognition including Best Asian Creative Artist at the Golden Indie Music Awards in Taiwan.

🎶 Yim Thanida – Flute
Yim Thanida is a Thai flutist working across both modern and traditional forms. Her performances include both Western flute and Thai classical instruments, moving between structured repertoire and more exploratory settings.
