Cuban Short Films
What to Expect
🙏🏽สวัสดีทุกคน
After last screening’s Cuban Contemporary Shorts, we come back with more this week. This Thursday, FRAME with the Cuban filmmaker Joanna Vidal are glad to present part 2 of Cuban Contemporary Shorts: Stories of Identity and Survival — a curated program exploring the intersections of personal experience and collective reality in contemporary Cuban cinema. Session 2 dives into social bodies and resistance with stories of social structure, exclusion and resilience.
Built around the thematic axis ‘from the individual to the social body,’ this selection brings together a diverse range of short films that examine how identity is shaped through intimacy, relationships, and social conditions.
Cuban Contemporary Shorts brings together fiction, documentary, and animation in a dialogue that reflects the complexity of Cuban life today — not as a singular narrative, but as a constellation of voices, each navigating identity and survival in their own way.
Come with us to bring a little bit of Latin America to Chiang Mai.
