MeetMe.Play -Messy Play Workshop
What to Expect
We welcome our first toddler sensory play event hosted by MeetMe! This workshop is a morning of sensory play for toddlers (ages 1–3 years) and their grown-ups — creative, hands-on, and wonderfully messy!
MeetMe. Play: Messy Play Workshop is a rotating station-based session where little ones get to explore, create and get their hands dirty in a safe, fun environment. Every activity is taste-safe, so you can relax while they explore.
Workshop activities include:
Homemade playdough: Soft, scented and made by us from scratch. Little ones can squish, roll, poke, and create freely.
Jelly digging: Small toys and objects are set inside wobbly jelly for toddlers to dig out and discover.
Painting: Paint made by us using safe, natural ingredients. Kids can paint freely on large paper with their hands, brushes or whatever feels right.
Waterplay: Simple, sensory, and always a favourite. Pouring, splashing, and exploring at their own pace.
All activities are taste-safe – because we know toddlers.
While the kids play, there's a coffee on us!
Our Approach:
At MeetMe. Play we believe kids learn best when they're given the freedom to explore without pressure or outcome. Our messy play workshops are open ended by design – there's no right way to play, no finished product to aim for, and no mess too big. We create the space, set up the materials, and let little ones lead the way.
About Your Facilitator:
MeetMe. Play workshops are facilitated by Melissa Close – a mum, educator and the founder of MeetMe. Melissa has spent over 12 years working in education across international schools in multiple countries, and holds a Master of Education and a Master of Philosophy, with research focused on student mental health and wellbeing. Her workshops are shaped by a simple belief: that creative, play-based experiences are one of the most powerful tools we have for helping kids understand themselves and the world around them.
